About Dr Sam
Dr. Sam Meisler graduated from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California, with a B.Sc. in Physics in 1986. Before college, Sam went to high school in Winnipeg, Canada. He spent eleven years of his childhood in East Africa where he developed a keen interest in wildlife and domestic animals.
Sam graduated with honors from the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. He practiced in Indiana for four years before returning to academia to complete a two-year residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.
Sam enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie,
sixteen-year-old son, Hunter, and eight-year-old
daughter, Sarah. Toby, a retriever mix imported
from an Indiana farm, and Minnie rescued from the barn are the two
family pets. Sam and his family live in Rockford,
Tennessee.
