About Me

Dr. Sam Meisler graduated from Harvey Mudd College
in Claremont, California, with a B.Sc. in Physics in
1986.    Before college, Sam went to high school in
Winnipeg, Canada.   He spent eleven years of his
childhood in East Africa where he developed a keen
interest in wildlife and domestic animals.

Sam graduated with honors from the
University of
Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991.  He
practiced in Indiana for four years before returning to
academia to complete a two-year residency in internal
medicine at the
University of Tennessee's College of
Veterinary Medicine in 1997.   

Sam enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie,
fifteen-year-old son, Hunter, and six-year-old
daughter, Sarah.   Toby, a retriever mix imported
from an Indiana farm, and Sparta, another mutt
rescued from the Webb Spartans football field, are
their two family dogs.  Minnie and KayKay are the two
family cats. Sam and his family live in Rockford,
Tennessee.
